Article: "Quality Circles to Transform Home Care Practices" by E. Bortolin

The Swiss association " curacasa " has launched a pilot project in Ticino on "Quality Circles" for independent nurses (project led by TiQual). Between March 2023 and April 2024, 78 participants were involved in monthly discussions on the management of adverse events. The meetings were enriched by sessions focused on quality management techniques, such as the analysis of "root causes". This article presents the analysis and conclusions drawn from this pilot project.

Home care quality circles - Independent nurses

The "Introduction of quality circles" project in Ticino ended successfully. Starting from September 2024 they will become a further tool for training on quality in home care. TiQual led the project for the curacasa association.

PMI Digital Day - TiQual partner of the event

During the PMI Digital Day at LAC in Lugano, my Adgalia partner Antonio Adornetto and I had the opportunity to share our vision of quality on stage.
We promote an approach to quality focused on the aspiration to lead the company towards excellence, in order to offer our customers the quality they expect. We support companies in this journey and firmly believe that our consultancy is not just a means to obtain certification, but rather a way to finally give meaning to the requirements and regulations that sometimes seem to weigh down the business. We make processes more efficient, streamlined and, at the same time, of high quality. Visit the PMI Digital Day website

Tiqual trains independent nurses in adverse event management for the Curacasa Association

The Curacasa association, which represents independent nurses in Switzerland, organizes training seminars on adverse event management. From 2022 the Health Law stipulates that service providers wishing to work under compulsory insurance must now have an appropriate internal reporting and learning system in place as well as having to join a national network for reporting adverse events. How can these new requirements be integrated into practice? TiQual was called to answer this question as a trainer during the regional workshops in Ticino and Romandie.

TiQual coordinates the pilot project for the introduction of Quality Circles for independent nurses in Ticino

The effectiveness of quality circles for patient safety has been demonstrated and several trade associations have adopted this improvement tool. From March 2023 the quality circles are offered once a month to independent nurses in Ticino, as a pilot project at Swiss level. Tiqual coordinates the study which aims to demonstrate the effectiveness of this method applied in the home nursing field.
